Mendi Qira was born on February 19, 1960 in Bijevo, Struga. He completed his undergraduate studies in 1984/85 at the Faculty of Agriculture in Pristina, while he completed his postgraduate studies in 1989/91 in Zagreb, majoring in economics and agriculture.
From 1992 until today (3 decades) he has been active in the field of business: Manager of the company "Trim and Lum", a construction company in high-rise construction, with a wide geographical coverage in RSM such as in Struga, Ohrid, Skopje and Resnje.
At the same time, as a Director in the company he had other engagements in the field of tourism as a director for three years at the "Izgrev" hotel in Struga in the period from 1998-2001, as well as from 2003 to 2009 Director of the insurance company "Signa", one of the first companies from Albania in RSM.
The activities of Mr. Qira also expanded into non-governmental organizations and business associations, until the moment when he became active in the governing bodies of the Chamber of Commerce of North-West Macedonia (SKSZM), as a more serious and maximum commitment in protecting the interests and solving the problems of the business community, but and in the Sealban Economic Forum as Vice President. Also, from November 2022, he has been appointed as the president of SKSZM.
The activity of Mr. Qira is also noticeable in the field of charity, culture, art, education and sports as a donor and supporter of all noble events!
From 2021, he expanded his business in the field of tourism, that is, in the hotel industry in Struga and Ohrid. But one should not leave out the successful management in the field of sports, especially in football, with the football club “Trim & Lum“, engaging more than 100 young people, directing them to the sport, encouraging their growth and offering them opportunities for development. From 2023, the club occupies the first place in the first league of North Macedonia.
